Hiya, I'm Laveen,

I'm a warm, empathic and down-to-earth Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor based in South East London.

I offer a calm, non-judgemental and supportive space, where you can explore what's going on for you with care and without pressure. My approach is grounded, relational, and focused on helping you understand yourself more deeply, while also finding practical and creative ways of moving forward.

My Experience

I have over 20 years experience supporting young people, adults, and families across education, community and charitable settings.

In schools, I worked closely with young people through 1:1 and group support, focusing on emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, relationships and supporting them through school-related challenges such as academic pressure, attendance and peer dynamics. This included working with both neurodivergent and mainstream students.

I have worked within a large charity supporting people affected by trauma, exploitation and complex life circumstances, alongside NHS and community services.

I also supported professionals and colleagues in reflective and supportive spaces, to be able to process challenges and achievements, offering guidance and support in their work with young people.

Across these roles, I have supported people navigating anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm, helping them to make sense of what they are experiencing and find  healthier ways of coping and relating to others.

How I work

I offer a space where you can explore what's going on for you without pressure or judgement.

Sessions are guided by what feels most important for you, whether that's making sense of your emotions, understanding patterns, or having space to pause and reflect.

There is no expectation to present things perfectly. We work with what feels present and meaningful.

Sitting with difficult thoughts and feelings can feel uncomfortable and at times it may feel harder to stay with the process. Together we can find a way of working that supports you to feel more able to manage what comes up over time.

Beginning therapy

It's common to feel a mix of uncertainty, hopefulness, anxiety, or curiousity, whether you are returning to therapy or if it's your first time reaching out.

When you feel ready to get in touch, we can arrange a brief introductory call, if helpful. This gives you a chance to ask questions, share a little more about what's bringing you to therapy, and get a sense of how we would work together.
